Mission Team Volunteer

NHF mission trips are designed so that all volunteers can take away something special from the time they spend in Nigeria. Despite the vast differences in environment and culture observed, NHF volunteers return home and find the experience truly rewarding.

Who Are We Looking For?

Doctors, nurses, and anyone who believes in the NHF mission are welcome. We ask that all volunteers be 18 or over. No formal medical experience is required but dedication is a must.

THE NIGERIAN HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION INC. asks you to join us in our mission to stop the deterioration of Nigeria due to problems such as poverty, hunger, and disease. Lend a helping hand and we will show you how you can change a life.

How to Apply

Applications are available online and can be submitted through out the year. Please remember that all volunteers must have a valid passport and must secure a Visa  to travel to Nigeria prior to the trip departure date.

Size Limit and Travel Dates

8-10 volunteers, with priority going to healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, et al.)
Volunteers must be able to travel to Nigeria for a two-week period, typically over the mid- to late – July timeframe (i.e. August 5th, 2018 – August 18th, 2018)

Note: The dates are flexible from year to year and cannot be pre-announced before a mission trip group has been confirmed.

Location, Accommodations, and Cost

The Mission Team will be staying in a house provided by a family in or near the village where we will be conducting the medical mission. We are not staying in tents!

We ask all volunteers to pay for their air transport and a portion of your food, lodging, transportation, and security. However, the rest will be covered by NHF. The total should not be more than $2,500. Fundraising Opportunities and resources will be provided for Mission Team members.
